MAC ADVISORY SDN BHD is committed to protecting the personal and financial information you entrust to us. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have under Malaysian law.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us — including your name, contact details, income, existing credit commitments, and documents you upload (IC, CTOS, CCRIS, Payslip, EPF Statement, Bank Statement, Property Documents, SSM Document, Company Bank Statement, Management Accounts). We also automatically collect standard technical data (IP address, browser type, device information) via cookies and similar technologies.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to (a) prepare your MAC Financial Health Report, (b) match you with suitable financing pathways, (c) allow a MAC advisor to review and act on your case, (d) improve our assessment models under strict anonymisation, and (e) meet Malaysian regulatory obligations. We never use uploaded credit documents for marketing.
3. Sharing With Financial Institutions
Only when you explicitly instruct a MAC advisor to submit an application do we share the minimum necessary information with a specific licensed Malaysian financial institution. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with any third party without your written consent.
4. Data Retention
Assessment sessions are retained for 24 months to allow you to return to your report. Uploaded credit documents are retained for the duration of an active advisory engagement plus 7 years thereafter, in line with Malaysian record-keeping law. You may request deletion at any time by writing to info@macadvisory.com.my.
5. Your Rights (PDPA 2010)
Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you have the right to access, correct, withdraw consent for, and request deletion of your personal data. Withdrawal of consent may prevent us from continuing to advise on your case.
6. Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest for all documents. Uploaded files are stored in access-controlled repositories with audit logging. Only assigned MAC advisors and system administrators can access your files.
